September 2019

17th September Alan Jolly, President, received an Email from James Rouse, Manager Leisure and Wellbeing | Community and Culture, City of Stonnington that contained the following words:
“I am confirming that the date of relocation of the Chadstone Bowls Club will be from 31 March 2020”.
This is fantastic news as it means that Chadstone will get the full pennant season at home and can now plan our functions and tournament schedules with certainty.
That is all for now, but its plenty.

At the 7th September, Opening Day, of the new season it was a great honour to present LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP to Peter Griffin, Ian Belzer, Maurie Feehan and Nigel Maxwell.
Also there was the Inaugural presentation of the Maurie Kick- Peter Wright Open Proportion 100 up Trophy to Nobby Ward

Stonnington Council have indicated that there will be no impact on Club activities until after Christmas,  depending on the outcome of a High Court decision (re removal of covenants on the site) in the near future. After this, when or if the development proceeds the Bowls Club are very pleased to inform you that Murrumbeena Park Bowls Club have offered to be our home base for the period of the new build (12-18 months)

More information about the project is available on Council’s website:  Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any further concerns.
